This could be very common answer for many and quite important answers for few like me. well there are many places HFI course are going on. many people i have seen going for the certification. but does it necessary to go for it, if you see the price they charge for the course and the exam fees is way to high. and after doing this i dont want to end up in the scene where there is no value add to my skill set.
If you say I should do this; could you also please help me in telling how its going to be helpful. 1. Job change? 2. role change? 3. Salary change? 4. advantage of network?
Thank you for your interest in HFI training and certification. Our Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) certification is recognized world-wide in the usability field. Over 2600 UX professionals, from over 25 countries, have earned CUA certification to validate their mastery of fundamental usability principles.
Today, usability is more and more critical to online success, but most developers have no formal training in it and most companies have no formal program for it. That's why your growing knowledge of usability will be a key professional advantage. But how do you demonstrate it to your employer? And how do employers find it in the marketplace? The solution is HFI's Certified Usability Analyst™ program.
The personal advantages of becoming HFI-Certified:
* Get recognized. You will be credentialed by the world's leading software-usability firm, increasing your value to employers.
* Add value. You will contribute to increased user satisfaction for your company's products.
* Get promoted. You can become a recognized usability authority within your company, increasing your opportunity for promotion.
CUA's report greater recognition and authority within their companies and increased career opportunities for new positions and promotions. Many user experience job descriptions request the CUA designation.

Thanks for the detailed reply. this def helps. Was wondering that does the HFI has job consultation programs. At present I am working in reputed retail store which is based in US. I am working in their software division in bangalore, india. Wanted to understand does HFI supports any job consultation after the certification. and also if you can help me with the costing of it would be of great help.
Apart from that I am more toward taking up the certification exam in next 2 - 3 months. And I am very much looking forward to it. Tell me what are the other areas that a front-end web developer and HFI architect can look for. What are the other coaching or learning areas after HFI...I have educational budget of my company and I am looking foward to use that :-)... I am ready to do may be masters or specialized course after HFI... If you can help me understanding options after HFI....
HFI doesn't offer job consultation, however, the CUA Central online community for CUAs is a great resource for CUAs looking for opportunities. There is a jobs group on CUA Central and also a CUA group on LinkedIn for networking.
Also, check out the Usability Jobs group here on HFI Connect. You will see jobs posted by members as well as an RSS feed from our twitter follower IA_UX Jobs. They offer a comprehensive list of opportunities for UX professionals.
