Permalink Reply by Guy Harvey on June 14, 2011 at 4:47pm something like "shocked that a leading usability company would post something mocking Apple that is known for it's great usability"
My response, we love Apple products, many of our people use them, including me, and we also don't take life so seriously :-)
Permalink Reply by Guy Harvey on June 14, 2011 at 4:51pm The funny thing is the joke applies to all kinds of gadgets and consumer products not just Apple so Apple users shouldn't take that cartoon personally.
I am an amateur photographer and it is amazing to see people upgrading a $1500 camera body after one year because it has 5 mm more on the LCD screen or does 6400 Iso instead of 3200!
I often say to people invest the money in a course and you'll get better pictures!
Permalink Reply by Tom Suther on April 26, 2011 at 3:55pm I have found the Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) to be quite helpful in designing for mobile. They have some great principles and helpful hints. It does seem to be slanted towards the iPhone iTouch but the words are great.
It is interesting though the similarity of the iPhone iTouch applications to the 1970,80 mainframe development. Very much a hierarchy of menus and simple methods of interaction.
