User Experience for a Better World

Has anyone had experience with designing in a Grid System? Specifically Less Framework? I recall the 960 GS, I'd love to get some input here as my company is attempting to solve for the multiple layouts. It seems interesting and I like the tie in with the "Golden Rule".

Less Framework is a CSS grid system for designing adaptive websites. It contains 4 layouts and 3 sets of typography presets, all based on a single grid.

What do you guys think, is this flexible, will it sink or float in the end?

CSS Frameworks will probably be the future. Saves on 'spaghetti code' headaches down the line probably, especially for enterprise sites.  This is what I'm hoping for, I'm not too familiar with it yet, but it sounds good enough to use and though I haven't implemented it, I'm thinking of doing it.
Ken, thank you so much for your reply. It looks very interesting especially the references to the golden rule. Keep me posted on your experience/research of the subject and I will do the same. Thanks again!

Thanks for the link to The Less Framework, Gessica!

"Responsive Web Design" does seem to be a popular trend, with all of the mobile devices accessing web sites now.

BTW: I think you mean the Golden Section or Golden Proportion instead of the Golden Rule (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you). You can read about it at the Phi Nest: http://www.goldennumber.net/

I have experience of working on CSS grid system. I also worked on some less framework stuff.

However i haven't so much experience of working on Less Framework stuff but Less framework is really powerful.

Hi Desiree,

I have discussed this project with other team members for their feedback and
advises for technologies and interface.

Features:
** User can apply leaves and check leaves request status
** User can check past leaves
** User can check holidays list
** Manager can approve/disapprove leave request
** Details of of total and remaining leaves(sick, casual, paid)
** Yearly, Monthly and weekly view of Calender

Please let me know if there is any other feature you want. I will update you
with rough mockups of Calender soon.

During discussion with team, Sameer suggested that he can develop this in
Ruby on rails. Please let me know if its fine else as planned Java
Developer will work on this as training item.
