User Experience for a Better World

UAC Course

Since, I have being into Web/Graphic Designing since 10 Years now and to accelerate my career to next level, i plan to enroll in Certified Usability Analyst Certification training.. I feel that this course will help me to achieve this purpose.

But I have a concern in the following areas,

Does this certification means that i am a UI/UX Designer after the completion ? Since i have no hands-on experience on UI/UX Designing, will this certification give me that weightage in the getting selected for a role of UI/UX Designing ?

Even though i have knowledge about concepts like user personas, scenario, card sorting exercise, information architecture, affinity diagrams... will these areas be covered in practical and if not will i be able drive them independently after the training ?

Please help me to clear these doubts.

Hi,

I have recently attended the CUA course in bangalore and passed the test, although i have been a graphic designer for around 10 years however i did have few years of experience in the UI/UX development and trust me many thing which i learn in the classes i was aware of those even before however was not sure about their relevancy and impact,

I can't say how much it will help you in getting a job in this field as my intention was not to get in a job but to gain knowledge in same, and that's the reason i sponsored myself for the classes, and feels very happy and proud that now i m certified, right now i am busy in implementing my learning in practices, and surprising people around me with my new skills,

I will be joining for CXA course as soon as i have enough cash to support the fees.

Hello Ram,

Thanks for you feedback. I would like to tell you that i have taken up the CUA Course in November Batch from Mumbai and also cleared my exam and official i am CUA :).

I must say that the entire training session was truly an amazing experience and my concept got cleared while i attended the session. Also, I was able to clear an important Interview and get a job in Usability Field.
